Egg Chicken Shami Burger Recipe

Ingredients

  • – 350gm Chana Daal

  • – 300gm Chicken Breast or Thigh

  • – 1 teaspoon Turmeric Powder

  • – 1 1/2 teaspoon Salt or as Needed

  • – 1 teaspoon Red Chili Powder

  • – 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper Powder

  • – 1 tablespoon Coriander Powder

  • – 1 1/2 tablespoons Cumin Powder

  • – 1 tablespoon China Salt

  • – 4 Green Chili Whole

  • – 1 teaspoon Mix Achar without seeds

  • – 1 tablespoon Garam Masala

  • – Water 6 Cups

  • Topping on Burger

  • – Few Mint Leaves

  • – Few Coriander Leaves

  • – Salad Leaves

  • – Eggs 9

  • – Cucumber

  • – Onion

  • – Green Chutney Mix with Yogurt

  • – Yellow Mustard

  • – Mayonnaise

  • – Ketchup

  • – Long Size Burgers

Directions

  • Begin by soaking the Chana Daal in water for a minimum of 2 hours.
  • Next, combine all the ingredients in a bowl, including chicken pieces, with 6 cups of water. Bring to a boil over medium heat and cook until the Chana Daal is 90–95% tender. Once cooked, turn off the heat and add a handful of chopped green coriander leaves and mint leaves. Mash the mixture using a masher or mortar and pestle.
  • Shape the mixture into patties, dip each patty in beaten egg, and fry them in oil over medium heat until golden brown. Once cooked, remove the patties and set them aside.
  • To assemble the burger, spread yellow mustard and mayonnaise on a heated burger bun. Place a fried patty on top, followed by a spoonful of green chutney and yogurt. Layer with salad leaves, cucumbers, radishes, tomatoes, onions, fried egg, and ketchup. Finally, cover with the other half of the burger bun.
