Spicy & Delicious Beef Nihari Recipe
Ingredients
Beef Nihari- 1 1/2kg
Water-1 1/2 Cup for steam
Oil-3/4 Cup
Onion Ring-1 Medium Size
Water for Curry 8 cups
Flour-3tbsp with mix 1/2 cup water
Homemade Nihari Masala-8tbsp
Shan Nihari Masala-2tbsp
Salt-1tsp
Directions
- Place 1 1/2 kg of beef and one glass of water in a pressure cooker.
- Pressure cook for 13-15 minutes after the first whistle until the beef is tender.
- In a separate pan, add oil and fry onions until golden brown.
- Add the steamed beef to the pan and cook until any remaining water evaporates.
- Add 4 tablespoons of homemade nihari masala and Fry for a few minutes until fragrant.
- Pour in 8 glasses of water, add 4 tablespoons of nihari masala, 2 tablespoons of Shan nihari masala, and 1 teaspoon of salt to the pan and bring to a boil.
- Gradually add a flour mixture (4 tablespoons of flour mixed with 1/2 cup of water), stirring constantly.
- Cook for 10-15 minutes until the nihari thickens to your desired consistency.
- Serve hot and garnish with julienned ginger, chopped cilantro, sliced green chilies, and lemon wedges.
