Shahi Tandoori Tikka Masala Powder Recipe
Ingredients
Coriander Seeds-3 tbsp
Cumin Seeds-2 tbsp
Carom (Ajwain) Seeds-1 tbsp
Cloves-1 tsp
Black Pepper Seeds-1 tsp
Fennel (Saunf) Seeds-1tsp
Fenugreek (Methi) Seeds-1/2 tsp
Cardamom-2 Pods Peeled
Cinnamon-2 Inches Piece
Mace Strands-2
Dry Red Chillies-4-5
Salt-1/2tsp
Turmeric Powder-1/2 tsp
China Salt-1tsp (Optional)
Garlic Powder-1 tsp
Ginger Powder-1 tsp
Directions
- In a frying pan over low heat, add all the seeds: coriander seeds (3 tbsp), cumin seeds (2 tbsp), carom (ajwain) seeds (1 tbsp), cloves (1 tsp), black pepper seeds (1 tsp), fennel (saunf) seeds (1 tsp), fenugreek (methi) seeds (1/2 tsp), cardamom (2 pods, peeled), cinnamon (2-inch piece), mace strands (2), and dry red chilies (4-5).
- Dry roast these spices gently for about a minute.
- Then, add the powdered spices: salt (1/2 tsp), turmeric powder (1/2 tsp), China salt (1 tsp, optional), garlic powder (1 tsp), and ginger powder (1 tsp).
- Continue to roast on low heat for a few seconds, being careful not to burn the spices.
- Allow the mixture to cool, then grind it into a fine powder.
- Shahi tandoori tikka seasoning masala is ready to use.
