Shahi Tandoori Tikka Masala Powder Recipe

Ingredients

  • Coriander Seeds-3 tbsp

  • Cumin Seeds-2 tbsp

  • Carom (Ajwain) Seeds-1 tbsp

  • Cloves-1 tsp

  • Black Pepper Seeds-1 tsp

  • Fennel (Saunf) Seeds-1tsp

  • Fenugreek (Methi) Seeds-1/2 tsp

  • Cardamom-2 Pods Peeled

  • Cinnamon-2 Inches Piece

  • Mace Strands-2

  • Dry Red Chillies-4-5

  • Salt-1/2tsp

  • Turmeric Powder-1/2 tsp

  • China Salt-1tsp (Optional)

  • Garlic Powder-1 tsp

  • Ginger Powder-1 tsp

Directions

  • In a frying pan over low heat, add all the seeds: coriander seeds (3 tbsp), cumin seeds (2 tbsp), carom (ajwain) seeds (1 tbsp), cloves (1 tsp), black pepper seeds (1 tsp), fennel (saunf) seeds (1 tsp), fenugreek (methi) seeds (1/2 tsp), cardamom (2 pods, peeled), cinnamon (2-inch piece), mace strands (2), and dry red chilies (4-5).
  • Dry roast these spices gently for about a minute.
  • Then, add the powdered spices: salt (1/2 tsp), turmeric powder (1/2 tsp), China salt (1 tsp, optional), garlic powder (1 tsp), and ginger powder (1 tsp).
  • Continue to roast on low heat for a few seconds, being careful not to burn the spices.
  • Allow the mixture to cool, then grind it into a fine powder.
  • Shahi tandoori tikka seasoning masala is ready to use.
