Ingredients
Quail-750gm
Oil-1/2 Cup
Onions Slices-1 Large Size
Garlic Paste-1tsp
Ginger Paste-1tsp
Tomatoes-4 Large Size
Salt as Taste
Red Chili Powder-1tsp
Turmeric Powder-1tsp
Blended Yogurt-5tbsp
Black Cardamom-2
Coriander Powder-1tsp
Cumin Powder-1tsp
Black Pepper Powder-1/2tsp
Garam Masala-1/2tsp
Green Chili-3-4
Directions
- Heat oil on medium and fry the onion until it turns light brown.
- Add ginger and garlic paste along with the quail, frying for 2 minutes.
- Toss in the large, halved tomatoes and fry for a minute, then cover and cook on medium to low heat for 9-10 minutes.
- Once uncovered, peel off the tomato skins and cook on medium heat until the oil separates.
- Stir in salt, red chili powder, turmeric, and black cardamom, frying briefly for 30 seconds to a minute before adding the blended yogurt.
- Fry until the oil separates again.
- Mix in coriander powder, cumin powder, black pepper, garam masala, and green chili, frying for another minute.
- Very yummy special batair karahi is ready to be served.
