Ingredients

  • Quail-750gm

  • Oil-1/2 Cup

  • Onions Slices-1 Large Size

  • Garlic Paste-1tsp

  • Ginger Paste-1tsp

  • Tomatoes-4 Large Size

  • Salt as Taste

  • Red Chili Powder-1tsp

  • Turmeric Powder-1tsp

  • Blended Yogurt-5tbsp

  • Black Cardamom-2

  • Coriander Powder-1tsp

  • Cumin Powder-1tsp

  • Black Pepper Powder-1/2tsp

  • Garam Masala-1/2tsp

  • Green Chili-3-4

Directions

  • Heat oil on medium and fry the onion until it turns light brown.
  • Add ginger and garlic paste along with the quail, frying for 2 minutes.
  • Toss in the large, halved tomatoes and fry for a minute, then cover and cook on medium to low heat for 9-10 minutes.
  • Once uncovered, peel off the tomato skins and cook on medium heat until the oil separates.
  • Stir in salt, red chili powder, turmeric, and black cardamom, frying briefly for 30 seconds to a minute before adding the blended yogurt.
  • Fry until the oil separates again.
  • Mix in coriander powder, cumin powder, black pepper, garam masala, and green chili, frying for another minute.
  • Very yummy special batair karahi is ready to be served.
