Best Baked BBQ Lamb Chops Recipe
Ingredients
Lamb-1kg (2.2lb)
Salt-1tbsp or as Taste
Chinese Salt-1tbsp
Red Chili Powder-1/2 tsp
Cumin Powder-1tbsp
Black Pepper-1tbsp
Onion Powder-1tbsp
Carom (Ajwain) Crushed Seeds-1 tsp
Garlic Powder-1tbsp
Brown Sugar-1tbsp
Amchur Powder-1 tsp
Barbecue Sauce-1/2 Cup
Directions
- Mix all the spices in a bowl until well combined.
- Make small cuts on the lamb chops using a knife. This will help the seasoning penetrate more deeply.
- Rub the seasoning mixture thoroughly on both sides of the lamb chops, making sure they are evenly coated.
- Wrap the seasoned lamb chops tightly in aluminum foil to trap the moisture inside.
- Preheat the oven to 360°F and place the wrapped lamb chops on an oven tray.
- Put the tray into the preheated oven and let the lamb chops cook for about 1 ½ hours, allowing them to become tender.
- Once cooked, remove the tray from the oven and carefully unwrap the top of the foil.
- Apply barbecue sauce generously over the lamb chops.
- Increase the oven temperature to 395°F and place the tray back in the oven for 10-15 minutes, allowing the barbecue sauce to caramelize.
- After the sauce has caramelized, remove the chops from the oven.
- Serve the juicy baked BBQ lamb chops with sauce and salad on the side.
