Sweet and Salty Apricot Green Chutney Recipe

Ingredients

  • Dried Apricots-300gm

  • Imli Seedless-1/2 tbsp

  • Green Chili-4

  • Mint Leaves-1 Cup

  • Coriander Leaves-1 Cup

  • Lemon Juice-2 tbsp

  • Chat Masala-1 tsp

  • Black Salt- 1/2 tsp or as taste

  • Yogurt- 1 Cup (250gm)

  • Water-1 Cup for Chutney

  • Water- 1 1/2 Cups for Boiling

Directions

  • Boil 1.5 cups of water and add dried apricots along with seedless tamarind. Let it cook for 15 minutes until the apricots and tamarind soften.
  • Once cooked, remove the pot from heat and allow the mixture to cool completely.
  • After cooling, gather the ingredients: mint leaves, coriander leaves, lemon juice, chaat masala, black salt (or adjust to taste), yogurt, and a cup of water for the chutney mixture.
  • Combine the cooked apricot and tamarind mixture with the mint leaves, coriander leaves, lemon juice, chaat masala, black salt, yogurt, and water in a grinder or blender.
  • Blend the mixture until smooth and creamy.
  • If you prefer a thinner consistency, add more water while blending.
  • The chutney is now ready to be served. It can be enjoyed with pani puri, pulao, biryani, or barbecue.
