Onion Large Size Chopped-1
Ginger Paste-1tbsp
Garlic Paste-1tbsp
Green Chilies-4-5
Coriander Powder-1tsp
Tomatoes Large-2
Salt as Taste
Red Chili Powder as Taste
Turmeric Powder-1/2tsp
Fenugreek (Methi Dana) Crushed Seeds-1/4tsp
Nigella Crushed Seeds (Kalonji)-1/2tsp
Fennel (Saunf) Crushed Seeds-1/2tsp
Cumin-1/2tsp
kasuri Meethi-1tsp
Coriander Few Leaves (Optional)
Yogurt-1/4 Cup
Oil-1/2 Cup
Pickle Chopped-1tbsp
Directions
- In a pan over medium heat, fry the onions until light brown.
- Add ginger paste, garlic paste, green chilies, coriander powder, and tomatoes, frying for a minute before covering the pan to cook for 4-5 minutes.
- Uncover, peel the tomatoes, mash them, and stir in salt, red chili powder, and turmeric powder, cooking until the oil separates.
- Next, add nigella seeds, fenugreek seeds, fennel seeds, cumin seeds, kasuri methi, coriander leaves, and chicken, frying for 2-3 minutes.
- Cover and cook until the chicken is halfway done, then uncover, add yogurt, and cook until fully done.
- Stir in chopped pickles for 30 seconds.
- Serve in a bowl and garnish as desired. Your Chicken Achari Handi is ready to be serve!
